Fading pop singer Robbie Williams has a secret hobby - he's become a keen astronomer.

Whereas before when Williams would be constantly in the newspapers for dating stars, he's now more likely to be looking at them in space from his telescope. And he has become so obsessed with the hobby he's reportedly buying an observatory for £2.5 million.

A source told The Sun, "Some of Robbie’s acquaintances in LA have been having a chuckle at his expense.

"He is leading a bizarre existence at the moment — vanishing into the desert to look at stars in far-flung galaxies. He is dead set on buying himself his own observatory in the desert. He is hooked on all things from outer space."
